My girls!

It doesn't get any better than this.

Good Morning!

Lydia has on her new dress from Target that she just HAD to have because Hannah Montana has one just like it.

Lydia lets Layton climb all over her, she is such a good big sister!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Lydia came in from the church egg hunt and told me she got $51 in her eggs!

Hey, I was just proud that she knew a 5 and a 1 was 51.

What a week

Wow, have we had a bad week but praise Jesus it ended good. Last Saturday we noticed Layton was breathing very heavy. She wasn't able to sleep and was just ill. In the middle of the night Sunday night she scared me to death, so Monday I took her to the doctor. As soon as the doc walked in the room she said she had croup. So after a steroid shot and 2 stickers for Lydia we were on our way back home. They told me she would be much better by the time we got home, wrong... She didn't start feeling better until Wednesday afternoon. She was up all through the nights and her breathing was so scary. At night as I would rock her I would pray that God would heal her and thank him for this only being short term. I cannot imagine having a child with a breathing condition. I am so grateful that I have 2 healthy children. Dave would get up if she woke up around 11 or so and rock her back to sleep. He was so proud that he could just get her right back down. Around 3:30 each morning I guess the steroids would kick in and she was restless. I felt so sorry for her. I was able to go back to work on Thursday but when I picked her up from the babysitter her breathing was heavy again. Miss Darlene and Miss Teresa suggested that I give her breathing treatments ever 4 hours that afternoon and night. She was such a big girl, she didn't fuss at all. And that night she sleep all night. I think I am safe to say that she is on the road to recovery now. She has slept all night for 2 nights now and she is smiling again. Boy have I missed her smile.

Here is our week in pictures.

Lydia had a sinus infection. She had a very runny nose, see. This was a picture that she took of herself!

Lydia played the Wi some.

Layton is still infatuated with Reece. right after I took this picture I look down and she had Reece's leg in a bear hug licking it. Awww...

After Layton started feeling better, she wanted to play, so the girls played together.

We heart popsicles!

And the smile is back!

We took the girls to Memphis today to see the Easter bunny. We normally don't make a big deal out of the Easter bunny but it being Layton's first I wanted a picture to remember it. She wasn't scared at all. Layton loved strolling around looking at everyone. As we were walking out of the mall Lydia wanted to ride the carousel. So her, Layton and daddy all rode. I wish I would have had my camera because the smiles on their faces were priceless. At Target I tried on several different outfits, Lydia was so funny, she would say, "Oh momma that looks so good, you should get that".

7 Months

Layton turned 7 months old last Saturday.

*She is wearing 6-9 month clothes. She cannot keep socks on, her feet move all the time.

*She wears size 3 diapers.

*She is still a good eater. She eats so much, I am not sure of her favorite but I can say that she will not eat peas or peaches!

*We give her a lot of what we eat and she loves it all.

*She is still nursing, yay for momma!!

*She is still sleeping from 8:30 to 7:00.

*No teeth yet!

*She has started to move this month! She is a fast roller. I will walk out of the room and she will be on the opposite side of the room!

*She has started to get on her knees, in the crawling position. Lydia says her butt is up in the air again!

*She loves playing pee-pie.

*Since the weather outside is starting to get warmer, we have started to go outside more and she LOVES being out.

*She is still in love with the dog.

I can't believe she is 7 months old already. We will be planning her first birthday before long. I think by next month she will be crawling and boy am I in for it. It has been 5 years since I have chased a crawling baby.

Busy, Busy, Busy

It seems like we have been really busy lately. Lydia finished up basketball one weekend and started softball the next. Yeah! She said she had fun playing basketball. The church had a basketball banquet for all the children that played, it was really nice. Everyone received a shirt and medal. She was super excited about her medal, she told me that she had never gotten a medal before! She is on a new team this year for softball. She was very excited to learn that Molly is on her team. Just by watching the practices so far, it looks like we are going to have a very humorous year! It should be fun.

We have been hanging out at home a lot. I went up in the attic last weekend and got some of Lydia's old things down for Layton. I thought Layton would enjoy the jumperoo but I really think Lydia likes it more! I walked out of the living room and when I came back, this is what I found! Lydia told me she was just trying it out. I guess she wanted to make sure it was safe for Layton! Ha!

Layton is a pro at sitting up now. Her balance is getting much better.

I think she is teething a little. She was so fussy last week and I thought it was from her gums being sore but it was her ear again. I had to take her back to the doctor Saturday morning. They said her ear infection from 2 weeks ago was still there, the antibiotics weren't strong enough. So now she is much happier and back to sleeping all night. YAY! She has started this thing with her lip, I love it! She is so darn cute!

She is really beginning to be such a big girl. She can hold her own bottle now, until someone walks in the room or her hands get tired!

And Lydia is just as self-entertaining as ever. She has really been putting on some shows for us around the house. The other night she sang in front of the video camera for 30 minutes. She is going to be so embarrassed when she grows up. Maybe we can play them at her wedding.

She loves to get my camera and take pictures. I find all kind of interesting pictures! It is neat to see things through her eyes. She is getting to be so big, we have been working on her learning our address and phone number. I can't believe she will start school in the fall. Wow, the last 5 years have flown by.

It's Our Anniversary...

Yesterday Dave and I were married 9 years. WOW! Sometimes it seems like yesterday and other times it seems like we have been married forever. We have been together almost half of my life. I always tell him how lucky I am to have him as a husband. He is a wonderful husband and father. Even after all these years there is never a dull moment with him.

I love how he still makes me laugh. I love how we can just sit around and talk for hours. I love how he compliments me. I love that he loves God. I love how he seems to appreciate the little things. I love that he likes to go places. I love that he is a free spirit. I love that he tells me he loves me after every phone conversation. I love that he likes to spend time with me. I love that he is sensitive. I love that he cares about others. I love that he kisses me goodnight. I love that he enjoys experiencing new things. I love that he is a hands-on father. I love seeing him and the girls spend time together.

He is everything that I am not and that makes me a BETTER person. We seem to work well together at everything we do. I am so thankful that he is my husband.

Dave, I love you more than you will ever know!
