Lydia has her first REAL project tomorrow. She had to pick any type of bird and present it to her class. She picked the penguin. She wanted to make a penguin out of a plastic bottle. So, with the help of her crafty daddy, we now have a penguin made from a water bottle, a sock, a tennis ball, lots of electrical tape, a little paper painted orange, yarn for the beak, and furniture cushions for the eyes. I think they did a fabulous job. She loves him and is so excited to present him to her class.

She had to make something representing a penguin habitat. This was my part! After making the penguin Dave said his brain was fried!! So, with a basket, paper, a rock from our flower bed, her Barbie camper pool, and some homemade fish, here's his habitat!

For her presentation, she is telling her class 5 facts about penguins:
1. Penguins live in Antartica.
2. Penguins cannot fly.
3. Penguins have webbed feet.
4. Penguins eat small fish.
5. Penguins have tall bodies and short legs.
I sure wish I could go tomorrow and listen to all her class' presentations. As excited as she is about it, I know she will do a wonderful job. Good luck baby girl!
